TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Introduction

 

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the coaching services provided by Carley Taylor (“Coach”, “I”, “me”) through the website [carleytaylorgriefcoach.com] (“Site”). By booking or attending any coaching session, package, purchasing a gift card, or using other services, you (“Client”, “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

 

2. Services

 

Coaching services are client-led, action-oriented conversations designed to support personal growth and coping strategies related to grief and loss. Coaching is not counselling, psychotherapy, medical, legal, or financial advice. If you require mental health treatment or are in crisis, coaching is not a substitute for emergency or clinical care.

 

3. Eligibility & Consent

 

You must be 18 years or older to book or participate in coaching unless otherwise agreed in writing. By booking, you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter this agreement and consent to receive coaching services. If you are booking on behalf of another person, you confirm you have their informed consent.

 

4. Booking & Payment

 

  • Bookings are made via the Site or the Coach’s booking platform.

  • Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

  • Accepted payment methods: [Stripe / PayPal / Square].

  • Prices for sessions and packages are published on the Site and may change; prices applicable are those at the time of booking.

 

5. Packages & Gift Cards

 

  • Packages (e.g., 3, 5, 10 sessions) are sold as a bundle. Sessions in a package must be used within 5 years of the first session unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Gift Cards may be redeemed for any service on the Site (sessions, packages, e-courses, or shop items). Gift Cards are non-refundable and non-transferable for cash. If you are gifting a card, it is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure the recipient is aware of how to redeem it.

  • Expiry: 5 years. 

 

6. Cancellation, Rescheduling & No-Shows

 

  • To cancel or reschedule without charge, please provide at least 24 hours (online) and 48 hours (in-person) notice.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of session fee.

  • No-show or same-day cancellations will be charged the full session fee.

  • Clients may reschedule each session up to a maximum of 3 times only.

  • Exceptions may be made in extraordinary circumstances at the Coach’s discretion.

I appreciate grief is unpredictable. Please reach out if something urgent comes up - where possible I’ll do my best to accommodate, my cancellation policy helps keep the practice fair and available to others.

 

7. Refunds

 

  • Single sessions are non-refundable after the session has occurred.

  • Refunds for prepaid packages may be provided on a pro-rata basis (less services already provided) and may incur an administration fee of $175.

  • Gift cards are non-refundable unless required by local consumer law.

 

8. Confidentiality & Limits

 

  • Sessions are confidential and information will not be shared without your consent except where required by law.

  • Exceptions to confidentiality include: risk of harm to self or others, suspected child abuse or neglect, or other circumstances required by law. In such cases, the Coach may need to disclose limited information to appropriate authorities or support services.

  • If coaching notes are kept, they will be stored securely for 5 years in accordance with privacy practices described in the Privacy Policy.

 

9. Text & Messenger Support

 

  • Text/messenger services are offered as a support feature to clients and are not monitored 24/7.

  • Expected response time: within 48 hours during business hours.

  • This service is not a crisis line. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or the crisis helplines listed on the Site.

 

10. Online Sessions & Technical Issues

 

  • Online sessions are conducted via [Zoom / Skype / FaceTime / Messenger]. You are responsible for your internet connection and device.

  • The Coach will make reasonable efforts to address technical issues; if a session is interrupted due to technical problems, the session may be rescheduled or extended at the Coach’s discretion.

  • Sessions will not be recorded without explicit consent from all parties.

 

11. Crisis & Emergency

 

Coaching is not a crisis service. If you are in crisis or at risk of harming yourself or others, please contact your local emergency services or one of the following helplines immediately: Lifeline (13 11 14), or other national helplines. See the Site for a full list of emergency contacts.

 

12. Client Responsibilities

 

  • You agree to be honest and forthcoming in sessions and to take responsibility for your decisions and actions.

  • You will ensure a private, safe environment for online sessions.

  • If you are using the coaching to support work with other professionals, you will inform those professionals as needed.

 

13. Coach Responsibilities & Limitations

 

  • The Coach will provide services professionally and ethically and maintain appropriate supervision and continuing education.

  • The Coach does not guarantee specific outcomes. Coaching outcomes depend on your participation and cannot be guaranteed.

 

14. Testimonials & Reviews

 

By providing testimonials or feedback, you grant the Coach permission to use anonymous excerpts for marketing and promotional purposes unless you explicitly request otherwise. Identifying details will not be used without your consent.

 

15. Intellectual Property

 

All content on the Site (text, courses, journals, logo) is the intellectual property of the Coach or licensed partners. You may not reproduce, distribute, or republish material without prior written permission.

 

16. Liability & Indemnity

 

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Coach’s liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with these services shall be limited to the amount paid for the service. You agree to indemnify the Coach against any claims arising from your use of the services. 

 

17. Termination

 

Either party may terminate services at any time. If you have paid for a package and choose to end, refund and cancellation provisions will apply as set out above. The Coach reserves the right to terminate services if the Coach believes the working relationship is not beneficial or safe, with a refund for unrendered services where appropriate.

 

18. Privacy & Data

19. Governing Law

 

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.

 

20. Changes to Terms

 

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The current version will be published on the Site with the last updated date. Continued use of services after changes indicates acceptance.
